In general, I've noticed that the VS will attempt to field as many MAXes as there are opponents if given the chance.

If you can't out-gun your opponent you might as well try to outlast them.
Plus the jump-jets are great fun, and a big conga-line jumping in through the top door was standard VS procedure for retaking towers.


I always used to sacrifice MAX ammo for a rek, repair gun, med applicator, etc. Don't know how many times I turned up to a base hack to find a bunch of players standing around with no way to hack it ... 'let me just dig one out of my backpack'.
